On Sunday, June 3, 2007, the Tallahassee Democrat in Tallahassee Florida published the article “Understanding Hurricane Shutters”. I wrote the article in an effort to help homeowners to have a clearer understanding of what types of hurricane protection is available to them. Of the basic four categories of hurricane shutters, some may work very well while others are not even an option. I own a hurricane shutter business and it seems like I spend 75% of my time educating homeowners about hurricane shutters. As a result of all the positive feedback from the original article and subsequent other magazine articles, we decided to also make a pamphlet available “Understanding Hurricane Shutters”. This led us to do the web site www.understandinghurricaneshutters.com and make the information available to everyone, I hope it’s helpful.
